9 Weeks into Pregnancy: Rookie the Size of a Grape

Hi folks! Here's the latest on the rookie... about the size of a grape. I got punished for remarking that I wasn't feeling too much different (over the weekend) yesterday... actually spent most of the day at home on a sick day. Felt really nauseous yesterday am over a breakfast meeting so turned around and came back to my apt. ugh. hoping it's more the result of bad allergies-> pounding headache (but my not wanting to take meds)-> lack of sleep-> feeling ill (common when I'm overtired) rather than morning sickness. so, I got back in my pj's at 10 am and slept, plus did a few staff mtgs by phone in the pm. But, feeling mostly better today, though still a little queasy. Chris bought me some tylenol which I will give myself permission to use if things get really bad re: headaches again (Mom: turns out tylenol is safe, but Advil isn't), and motion sickness wristbands that I am giving a whirl...
Maybe that means we are having a girl? http://www.babycenter.com/0_morning-sickness-causes-concerns-treatments_254.bc?articleId=254&showAll=true. In other news, Kate and played frisbee Sat (noticed I was more out of breath, but overall felt good), am meeting up with Maura tonight, and looking fwd to a weekend with Maura, Mandy and Jen all in town. Yoo-hoo!!!! love to all! xoxxoo md
