Insights to date on what you "need" for a baby

We obviously picked the wrong year to procreate, since many of our friends (and friends of friends) are now pregnant and popping out babies in 2009. I am not remotely an expert, but just spent a bit of time updating our registry to reflect my "best" thinking on what one needs when having a baby (at least reflecting our urban, car-less lifestyle). The result is our updated page: http://www.alternativegiftregistry.org/view_registry_public.php?registry_uid=1633 in the hopes it might help others. Feel free to add your comments on this post, fellow moms!
And, in case anyone is feeling inspired to pick up something for Sean, it reflects a few "needs" as well-- basically clothes and books as he gets older.
A few other quick updates: Sean is still snacking, sometimes with interest or sometimes with almost-tolerance, on some solids: bananas, peaches, goat cheese (which he only likes when it's imbedded in his mother's grilled cheese), avocado (he's not a fan, as of now), and I'm feeling tempted to give sweet potatoes another try. His one tooth is very visible now, and I think the second is coming up soon. He's also SO VERY CLOSE to crawling, but only moves a bit backwards. Overall, he's healthy, happy and loved.
And awake, which means this post is ending. Love to all!
