Feels like old times. Ow!

Not that I took a five-week break from posting in the hopes this would happen (and I could say, "just like in the last post"), but the timing/delay became fortuitous this afternoon. By which I mean, Sean and I were reading "Tigger Comes For Breakfast" again on the metro today, and when I started to read the paragraph where Tigger tries Eeyore's thistles, only to find them, well, thistly, and blurts out "Ow!" Sean got a particularly intent look on his face, and reached for my neck. That was the first funny thing, and I would've been able to stifle a laugh if it had been only that.

But when Sean reached for my neck and pinched, he held the pinch firmly but he didn't squeeze his finger and thumb in quite the same way -- apparently, he had remembered that he was going to need to pinch my neck, to generate the "Ow!" of Tigger's dialogue in the story, but there was this odd delay, as if he was merely getting into position so he could do what he was supposed to at the right time. Along with the serious face of "Hey, I know how this story works; keep reading."

I had some trouble continuing to read, keeping a straight face, and figuring out how to time my admonition not to pinch.

It was a little easier when we read the story again the second time, a few minutes later; there's a chance that he didn't notice me stifling a laugh that time.
