12 Weeks: The Size of a Lime (so Celebrate with Margaritas)

Hi folks! Here is the latest update on the Rookie's development. If only I had well-developed reflexes. :) Since I personally love margaritas, I'll be looking to score a virgin one this week and I hope you find yourselves having something with lime as well to toast the Rookie. As many of you know, we had our regular prenatal appointment last week and we (unlike the midwife experts) couldn't hear the heartbeat. Since I am out of town for work all next week (leaving early Sunday morning for New Jersey before heading up to Boston for a conference next Thursday and Friday, plus time that weekend with family including Gramma!), we made an appointment for the last possible slot available to try again-- this Thursday afternoon at 3:20 pm ET. Our next regular appointment is actually on our anniversary: April 30. Seems fitting since we found out we were pregnant on the 15th anniversary of our first date. :) It's been fun getting to tell some additional folks: Celina (welcome to the Rookie's update list!), Jeff, my longtime coworker Joanne, boss Chris, left msgs (without the reason why I'm calling) with Heather and Wout, and will tell some of my key longtime RESULTS volunteers tonight and all my coworkers next Tuesday. We're hosting a "coming out" party on Saturday and will tell some of our DC friends then, and send out an email after that to a bigger list, perhaps (and Mom will tell some of her buddies on the 16th). I'm feeling good... feeling slightly bigger but not close to needing to be in maternity clothes (but also not close to feeling comfy in some of my smaller pants). I notice I get hungry fairly often, including right when I get up (unusual for me). I'm trying to make sure I eat healthy (and not too too much) and keep exercising. That's the news here. Thinking of you all near and far! love merrie
