"When's your due date?" "Um, yesterday"

Greetings from DC, where the Rookie is keeping us waiting to make a more formal acquaintance. While I do think he's getting lower, and I'm getting more tired and uncomfortable, it's hard to tell when he will arrive. I hope he does not feel the need to wait until the Red Sox are in the World Series-- since he'll be awfully large by next year!
Since Friday was my last day at work, I'm enjoying a "life of leisure", including a great time grabbing lunch with Lea yesterday (we spent the day before her labor started back in June together... so who knows?), long walks enjoying DC's gorgeous weather and changing leaves, a Target run and, if I am not in labor tomorrow, hopefully a pre-natal massage. It's fun to "surprise" folks who ask me when I'm due while out and about! And, I'm trying to use this extra time to get through a few books on baby care as well.
Re: how we'll keep folks updated-- depending on how things progress, we may post a short update on the blog to let people know that labor has started. You can sign up for updates at: http://rookieindc.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default (I think that works). And, of course, we'll post something after the Rookie arrives with, I hope, a few pictures as well. If necessary, I think we'll have a better sense of timing after our pre-natal appointment on Thursday... though that seems like a long way away!
Thanks for your thoughts and good wishes for our little guy, and stay tuned...
